Z Riders Train Excursion Memorandum of Agreement
Welcome to the GWRRA GA-Z 3rd Annual Train
Excursion. This year’s train ride
will be on the Tennessee Valley Railroad Loop Excursion the weekend of October
17-19, 2008.
We will depart from the Fairburn Dunkn’ Donuts on Friday
October 17. We will stay at the
Magnuson Inn located in Sweetwater, TN. Cost
for the hotel is $58 per night plus tax for a total of $66.27 per night.

Ask for a Chapter Z room. You
are responsible for making and/or cancelling your own hotel reservation.
The train ride will be on Saturday October 18.
We will be departing the hotel around 8:00 am to ride down to the Etowah
Depot. There is no parking where we
board the train, so we will ride buses provided by the railroad that will take
us to the train. The buses will
leave the depot at 9:15 am. The
train ride lasts approximately 3 ½ hours.
There are no stops on the train ride allowing you to get off the train. There is no smoking allowed on the train.
We should arrive back at the depot by approximately 1:00 pm.
There may be other activities planned after the train ride.
We are planning on returning to the Atlanta area on Sunday.
Tickets for the train ride are $36 per person.
Train tickets must be purchased through Chapter Z.
Payment needs to be made in cash or check payable to Alan Head (Chapter Z
Director) no later than August 23, 2008, which is the date of GA-Z’s August
meeting.
The railroad
will provide a full refund for any ticket cancelled 30 days or more prior to the
excursion. NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN FOR A TRAIN TICKET CANCELLED AFTER SEPTEMBER 15,
2008.
GA-Z Caboose Pins and hanger bars for first time riders are $5 each. Hanger bars for returning riders are $2 each.
Waiver: I/we agree to hold harmless GWRRA,
the co-sponsoring organizations, and any property owners for any loss or injury
to self or property in which I/we may have become involved by reason of
participation in the event.
